Artist Haven

Supporting performing artists in Garden City

The Artist Haven Residency is a program presented by LED in partnership with the Alexa Rose Foundation. Housed at The Dixon in Garden City, Idaho, the residency supports performing artists as they develop new work, explore emerging ideas, and expand their creative practice.

Designed as a space for experimentation and growth, the residency provides artists with the time, resources, mentorship, and production support needed to move projects from early concepts toward public presentation and long-term development.

Space for taking risks

The Artist Haven Residency brings together artists working across a range of performance-based disciplines, creating opportunities for both individual exploration and experimentation.

Residents engage in a period of focused creative development while receiving support from LED's artistic leadership, guest advisors, and creative collaborators. Through access to rehearsal space, technical resources, and professional support, artists are encouraged to take risks, test new ideas, and pursue ambitious creative goals.

Works in process

The residency culminates in a public presentation, providing artists with the opportunity to share projects in process with audiences at The Dixon.

These presentations serve as both a milestone and a beginning, offering artists a platform for visibility while laying the groundwork for future development, expanded productions, and new creative partnerships.
